About Laura
Laura Castrigano joins us from northern Vermont as our Young Adult Support Group leader. She is a seasoned IBD patient and currently has a loop ileostomy due to ulcerative colitis. Laura is an elementary school math specialist and mom to an energetic 4 year old. She credits her ostomy with giving her the stability to be active with her family- regularly hiking, biking, and even running half-marathons. In her words, "Leading this support group gives me the opportunity to meet more people living with IBD, hear your stories, and make connections based on our shared experiences
